starting next September 24 15:00 pm Museum of the Duomo, Piazza Duomo 14, opens its doors to the public with its first Open Day, an exceptional event, with the aim to rediscover one of the treasures of our great country.
The complexity of history and rich heritage of the Cathedral, of which the Venerable Fabbrica del Duomo is conservative and developer, has created a demand, since 1984 the foundation of a section devoted to educational services. The Venerable Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano offers the chance to know the Duomo with the help of the Cathedral who built it, and today he takes daily care.
In recent years proposals have been developed for schools, guided tours and workshops.

During the five years of closure restoration of the venue, the propulsive activity of the Museum of the Duomo in Milan has never stopped. The closure has been a stimulus for the Education Department to create new, fascinating and engaging workshops designed specifically for each level of education. The Museo del Duomo, offers a high quality service to the knowledge of the Duomo cathedral-monument, to study the multiple paths in order to deepen the thematic art history, architecture and techniques.
For schools, the Educational Department of the Museum proposes talks at schools, with lessons in the classroom to introduce the themes of a tour aimed at a better use.
The visit, modulated according to the needs of teachers, is supported by creative and recreational activities for students to experience concepts and techniques learned during the visit.
The Education Department relies on the collaboration of professionals with years of experience in teaching activities and partnership with other prestigious museums in the city like the Planetarium Civico di Milano "Pearson Education, Inc." and the Museum of Natural History in Milan.
